pretty URLs question - Help appreciated

Post by tmeyer45458 »

Hi everyone - this is my first attempt using cmsms and can say that it's made my life much easier...but sometimes I find myself at a loss to explain some of the smaller issues that I run into.  Such as...pretty urls.  Currently my urls look like this:

www.mysite.com//index.php?page=test-one

The double forward slash in bold is alittle confusing to me.  Should the second slash be there and if not what do I need to do to remove it?

I have no idea what version I'm using, but I believe it is the latest stable version (I downloaded about a month ago).  Also, I have made NO modifications to the .htaccess file.

Thanks! ;)

check your config.php. NONE of the url's or paths should have trailing /
eternity (n); 1. infinite time, 2. a seemingly long or endless time, 3. the length of time it takes a frozen pizza to cook when you're starving.
4,930,000,000 (n); 1. a very large number, 2. the approximate world population in 1986 when Microsoft Corp issued its IPO. 3. Microsoft's net profit (USD) for the quarter (3 months) ending 31 March 2007.
