OK this should be simple. The stylesheet that I am using is Layout left sidebar + 1 vertical and Navigation simple vertical for the menu.
I want to add some content that is not indexed on the vertical menu. eg. The registration page or a custom content page. However, as soon as I create the registration page, it gets indexed in the menu automatically.
Please offer whatever suggestions you might have.

when you edit a page, go to the 'options' tab. look for the checkbox labeled 'show in menu'... if it is unchecked, but the page is still listed as 'active', then the page will still 'work', it just won't be in the generated menus.
