I have four users, me and three others. My user name is the one setup in the install, the other three added later. We are all members of admin, and admin has full permissions to do everything.
However, on the other three users they are unable to move page order or set pages as children of other pages.
I have looked around and can see no reason for this - can anyone help?
Thanks!

Users admin permissions problem
Re: Users admin permissions problem
You probably don't have the "Modify Page Structure" permission.
Look here for more info and how to add it (easiest is to use the script in the last post).

Re: Users admin permissions problem
A little more info:
The bug occurs when you upgrade to cmsmadesimple-1.0.1 or -1.0.2 (it was fixed in 1.0.3) when using full ADOdb instead of ADOdb lite.

Re: Users admin permissions problem
Ok - thanks for the info. So if i simply upgrade to 1.03 from 1.01, will that fix, or do i need to go in manually?
thanks.

Re: Users admin permissions problem
Hi,
I am still experiencing problems with permissions in admin in my site. To recap.
ALL admin members are members of group admin however only the master account (set up on install) allows changing of page structure and changing of page parents.
I have now used the script as mentioned by Dee above - it has successfully completed (when I run it now I get the response - "Connecting to the database...
Checking if the "Modify Page Structure" permission exists...
The "Modify Page Structure" permission already exists! Exiting.").
I have also now upgraded from 1.2 to 1.4 'Lanai'.
The problem still exists - of the four users in admin group, only the master account has permissions to modify page structure. Isn't this impossible?!? Surely members of the same group should have the same permissions.
I have chjecked to see if they have memberships to any other groups in case that would affect them - they are NOT members of any other groups.
Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Users admin permissions problem
Did you assign the Modify Page Structure permission to the Admin group?scotch33 wrote: The problem still exists - of the four users in admin group, only the master account has permissions to modify page structure. Isn't this impossible?!?
(Users & Groups » Group Permissions in the admin)
