Problem with Front end user module

I am a newbie and ad just installed version 1.0.4. I set up 10 properties for the feu module. It works fine but the order was changed, thus first_name appeared last and last_name somewhere in the middle. I checked the database, it confirmed that the sequence was not as originally built through the admin backend. I also discovered in the same table cms_feuser_properties that there was a typo error: password was spelt passsword(i.e. it has three s).

I try to change the order by dropping the fields and insert new fields manually, but to no avail.  This is the table with user_id 1 and if the poperties are in the order shown it should start from 1 with autoincrement.

The order of the properties is determined by the order specified when editing a group.
