Search in Cataloger module

Post by ploum »

Hello,

I'm using the cataloger module but, unfortunatly, I discover that the search module doesn't perform search on every field of a cataloger item. It seems to be a bug because some fields work, some don't.

Is anybody using the cataloger module ? Can you confirm this bug or, even, tell me a work around that would work ?

In fact, I've a lot of bug with cataloger module.
(see also : http://forum.cmsmadesimple.org/index.ph ... 792.0.html )

What would you suggest me to use instead to build a simple alphabetical list of items (I must be able to have a page for each letter of the alphabet (currently cataloger categories) and those page must show all items whose name starts with the current letter (currently cataloger items))

Thanks :-)

Hi Ploum,

I'm having similar problems.  I've found that the search function will find keywords that are in the middle of a cataloger item attribute, but not at the start or the end. This may apply to you to0.

A similar problem was found when accessing custom content blocks because the strings were concatenated without an intervening space (see http://forum.cmsmadesimple.org/index.ph ... 845.0.html). However I can't see how I can make similar changes to the code that manages module content - my PHP just isn't up to it.

If anyone can help that would be appreciated.

At some point of recent update this problem seems to have solved itself. Thanks!
