File Management UPLOAD Not Functioning

I've installed CMSMS (version 0.9.2) and all works except for File Management. Evertime I upload something it appears to be working, but when the upload is complete, nothing appears. I've check the physical location to see if the file was actually there but it was not. I've check the "uploads" folder permission and it is set to 777. I've also placed items within the "uploads" folder and then checked File Management link. The items I placed within the "uploads" folder listed just fine and I was able to link them.

Has anyone had this problem where nothing will upload?

Are you uploading to the main uploads directory or a subdirectory?
I had a similar problem with the Image manager trying to upload to /uploads/Images/subdirectory - the file always went to /uploads/Images even though the manager was in the subdirectory....

I thought that might be the case also but no matter which directory - uploads or uploads/images or uploads/newcreatedfolder it doesn't matter. It just goes throught the motions and nothing happens. I know it is not a size issue because I have tried to upload pdf file that was 60k.

Any other suggestions? Could it be a setting that needs to be adjusted within the PHP.inf file? If so what?
