HTML Editor in TinyMCE not showing
Re: HTML Editor in TinyMCE not showing
Hmmm....seems to be a common problem with several people. I've gotten this issue more than once on some of my upgrades. A fresh new install of 1.10 -> 1.10.3 is prefect, but only seems to be on some upgrades that the TinyMCE editor has missing browser icons when adding links or images.
So any ideas on how to fix this would be great.
Thanks,

Re: HTML Editor in TinyMCE not showing
Any progress on this bug? I recently upgraded to 1.10.3 and now TinyMCE has stopped functioning. Tried 4 different versions of it and all the suggestions in this thread and elsewhere

Re: HTML Editor in TinyMCE not showing
There is a new version of tinyMCE in forge...
Re: HTML Editor in TinyMCE not showing
If you mean the 2.9.6 version that is the one I tried first :/ if not though please direct me to the latest version. I completely removed my TinyMCE directory and reinstalled. Trying different permissions and 'static config' options. If a solution can't be found by tonight I will have to downgrade CMSMS to an older version..I'm hoping that works just like the upgrade did.
Re: HTML Editor in TinyMCE not showing
I just did a fresh install of the newest versions of cmsms and tinymce and got no problems anymore.
Re: HTML Editor in TinyMCE not showing
=Fresh install - TinyMCE has no issues. Works perfect.
=Upgrade - TinyMCE sometimes seems to break. No matter what version you use (of TinyMCE) and no matter what you try to do to fix the problem, it's always the same results (issue described earlier in post).

Re: HTML Editor in TinyMCE not showing
I have had upgraded to 1.10.3 sites and fresh installs of it and both had a problem with tiny, I went to forge and used the 2.9.6 XML to upgrade tiny, didn't uninstall it just upgraded it, and now I have no problems with it...
Remember the folders modules and tinyMCE are both set to 755 in mine...

Re: HTML Editor in TinyMCE not showing
Having the same problems with same versions as mentioned above. Tried ALL of these steps but with no luck:
- Set modules & TinyMCE folders permissions to 755
- Deactivated/reactivated TinyMCE
- Uninstalled/reinstalled TinyMCE (via XML & FTP folder)
- Set TinyMCE as default editor in User Preferences
- Set FrontEnd WYSIWYG to TinyMCE in Global Settings
- Did fresh installation of 1.10.3
- Checked/unchecked static config in TinyMCE settings
TinyMCE editor "takes effect" on pages but no editor functions appear. Same thing in Extensions > TinyMCE > Test Settings.
FRUSTRATING. I've been using CMSMS for YEARS and have had my fair share of issues with Tiny. Usually at least one of the things above fixes it, but so far NOTHING WORKS in 1.10.3.

Is this a windows server?...
You may also have to set the permissions to 777 on some servers and check the child folders of tinyMCE...

Re: HTML Editor in TinyMCE not showing
Nope, it's a Linux server. I upgraded directly from 1.9.4.3 to 1.10.3, so that might've been part of the problem.
Just upgraded a different site from 1.9.4.3 > 1.10 > 1.10.1 > 1.10.3 (to be EXTRA precautionary), then upgraded TinyMCE via XML, and it works.
TinyMCE in other upgraded site is still not working, though.

Re: HTML Editor in TinyMCE not showing
Look in Module Manager to make sure you have the latest version of tiny, I have it on many sites working just fine...
Re: HTML Editor in TinyMCE not showing
Same problem here, I upgraded directly from 1.9.4.3 to 1.10.3.
Now TinyMCE is not showing the HTML Editor anymore.
Tried with previous TinyMCE version 2.9.6, but the same issue as on the latest version 2.9.9
Is this a bug in CMSMS ?
Anyone know how to solve this ?
Thank you very much
Peter

Re: HTML Editor in TinyMCE not showing
I had something similar just half an hour ago. My site had fallen behind real bad on upgrades and I did 1.7.6 -> 1.8 -> 1.9 -> 1.10 -> 1.10.3.pedes wrote:Same problem here, I upgraded directly from 1.9.4.3 to 1.10.3.

As a result, no TinyMCE editor showing when I clicked on show wysiwyg. As I really needed to edit something I just did a quick and dirty and removed TinyMCE completely and set in user preferences to use MicroTiny.
Something you could t
Re: HTML Editor in TinyMCE not showing
I use MicroTiny also now, but i would to have the TinyMCE.
For me TinyMCE is better since i'm use to that one.
It is very strange that alot of people have this issue and nobody got it solved
