Blogs Made Simple and Captcha

Post by stevefister »

I did some searching around for the answer to this, but not quite sure if I got it. I'm using Blogs Module v0.3.0b1 and have installed the Captcha Module v0.3.1. However, I cannot seem to get it to work in the blogs. The blog settings have "enable Captcha" checked. Does Captcha work with the latest Blog Module release? If so, what are the configuration changes I need to make in order to get this to work on the Comments page of a Blog post?

Thanks so much,

steve-o

Hi Guys

Sorry about the "fake" option, Captcha support is not implemented yet, though I prepared the option for it. It is planned to go into beta2 due hopefully within a week or so. Akismet integration is also in there.

cheers

Morten,

Thanks a lot - great news for all of us!!! Looking forward to try it out!!!

BTW, I have one little functionality suggestion that is (hopefully) not too difficult to implement. Is it possible to truncate the heading to the full word instead of truncating the item to the fixed number of characters? This will make the blog headings look nicer and complete. Another option could be to truncate the heading to the first "space" after given number of chars or even to the first "dot". Ideally make this "truncate-to" char setting optional.

Best regards,

Alexander

Hi Alexander and others

BlogsMS is out in 0.3.0beta2 now. It's in the forge and will should appear in the ModuleManager in some hours.

Alexander, great suggestion! Shouldn't be that difficult to implement. Didn't make it for beta2, though...
I've inserted the reqeust in the forge, so we hopefully do not forget :-)

Morten
