installation issue on internal windows 2003 server

Hi,

I am trying to install cmsms on an internal windows 2003 server but its giving me trouble. We are running IIS. The domain name dns is pointing to that and simple php files are running. I did a test running index.php and it worked fine.

But when i type the following http://localhost/install/index.php or www.domainname.com/install/index.php then it shows error page.

Where am i going wrong. I don't have ftp access to this server or shell access. What is the other way of installing this?

how have you copied the files so far? what steps have you taken.

Hi,

I can access the server through the remote desktop using vpn. So i copied all the files to the root folder of IIS and then tried to run the install file.

Is this right?

When i run the install/index.php file the page just goes completely blank (white page).

the url goes as follows -

http://www.myurl.com/install/index.php? ... e0mi1rhgq4

Does this have anything to do with the php settings?

firstly is safemode enabled?

secondly you need working php sessions (if you dont know what im on about so far, ask google)

and third, permissions. you cant chmod a windows server, thus you need to set the permissions the windows way (point and click)
again, if you are unsure, give google a whirl to find out how to do this.

after aaaaalllll that, let me know if you are still having trouble and which steps you followed and how.
