Help! Tags not displaying

I'm currently testing cmsms in two different environments, one is using usbwebserver on my desktop and one on a friends web hosting. On my usbwebserver cmsms works great, I can do everything I need to do. However, on my friends hosting some tags are not displaying. {edit} and {breadcrumbs} don't display and the Gallery module doesn't display either. Has anyone else had an issue like this and where should I start looking for differences between the two environments that may affect this?

Friends hosting is running Windows NT WIN 5.2 build 3790, PHP Version 4.4.1, CGI/FastCGI, mysql 3.23.49

I don't know if this is your problem but some have reported problems with FastCGI
Check also for low memory_limit or any errors (active debug in config.php and check server logs)
