Embedding a flash poll in a cms site

Post by chipper »

Hi

I'd like to know if what I am trying to do is possible.

I am trying to embed a tidy looking flash poll (phpjabbers.com) into my site - currently still in development. I had a bad experience with the Polls Made Simple module (documented elsewhere on this forum) so don't want to risk that again.

The code generated is below and the flash poll instructions state that this is to be pasted into the page:

I have tried global content blocks, udts, searching this forum, and the phpjabbers site help but no luck so far. Advice would be much appreciated! If I get it to work I will post the details as there seem to be many people either having problems with or looking for a decent poll mod. By the way this is a commercial widget but at $34 (if I could get it to work) that would be cheap!

Also, in case this info is useful/relevant, the poll does require a separate database - install etc all went well and it does recognise the database.

I'm kind of brain dead when it comes to the CMSMS part of the equation.  Have you tried using the {literal} inside of the template with the code you listed to see if it works that way or if possible to use {literal} inside the page with the code?

The suggestion may be way off but it is atleast something to try!  TT

I've got a similar problem and this code did help some.  Try it instead of what you have posted.  Just change the data to match yours!  Just modify it and paste it in in the source code. One thing about IE and Flash is that you have to clear the cache everytime to see changes with swf files.  TT
