Can CMSMS do what I need it to?

Post by arkwulf »

I work for an employment agency and I'm currently in the process of developing a searchable database of workers for our clients to be able to choose from.

What I want to do is essentially create profiles that a user can search and browse, that can then be added to a series of lists for later selection.  This would involve being able to add them to favorites, short list them for specific jobs/projects, etc.

Can CMSMS do these things?

Jobs module for profiles, but the rest... probably Formbuilder and Formbrowser...
Others' ideas?
Try searching forum, too.

Hello,

CMSms is what I call Free Software : GPL v2.
The open source version of CATS is released under the CATS Public License ("CPL"), a simple derivative of the Mozilla Public License (v 1.1).
This seems GPL incompatible. And the overall feeling of their website (registering, licence key...) is not the openness I see here @CMSms.

As long as you (arkwulf) don't distribute (spread) the mixed software which has components whose licence is in conflict with the GPL, you should be fine. Basically, the conditions of GPL apply only when the software is distributed, and you can do anything with it in your privacy - as long as it stays in your privacy.

And anyway, I thought MPL is GPL compatible... http://www.gnu.org/licenses/license-list.html#MPL (I know, it's Cats Public License, but it is its derivative, I expect the difference is just in the names of companies...?)

[edit] All right, so in this case it seems even MPL may be incompatible...
Where is the license?
[edit] Fine, just found interesting posts in their forums: http://catsone.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=924
