CMSMS seems ideal for a professional association like this one.  I used the Company Directory module to list members (click the "Find a licensed practitioner" link), and it also has the Forum module installed, but you won't be able to see it because the Forum is for members only.  It was a little tricky setting up Front End Users as the client did not want the public to register.  So I set up Front End Users with a single login which they could give to all their members.  Then when a member logged in, he could still not use the forum until he registered his own personal login using the Self Registration module.

The worst part of the job was adapting a design done by another company who knew nothing about CMS. 

The client is very happy, I taught them how to use it in three hours, and their administrator loves it.  And I may get a referral from it.
