Content won't display, and page won't delete

Post by baldguy »

I am new to CMSMS, and just installed 1.2.3 on my test server (WAMPServer) on my laptop. Installation went fine, and I got up and running.  I added a page, but when I click on the link to it in the front end, I get this error:

Code: Select all

Fatal error: Call to a member function GetContent() on a non-object in
C:\wamp\www\cmsmadesimple\lib\content.functions.php on line 497
The page does display perfectly in preview.  Just not on the front end.

So, I figured I'd delete it and start over.  It won't delete.  It fades out, then pops back into place.  It is the only page I created, has no children, (and no parents).  I am the only user, an admin, and the owner of the page.

I thought that maybe if I deactivated the page first it would delete.  I clicked on the green arrow, and got this error:

Code: Select all

Error: the XML response that was returned from the server is invalid.
Received:
<br />
<b>Fatal Error</b>: Call to a member function getContent() on a non-object in
<b>C:\wamp\www\cmsmadesimple\admin\listcontent.php</b> on line <b>272</b><br />

You have whitespace in your response.
I can deactivate it if I uncheck the box in "options", but it still won't delete?

What did I do wrong?  ???

Thanks!

Update (1/28): Just installed 1.2.3 on my live site web host, and it works just fine.  Obviously there is a difference in the settings between my hosting account, and my WAMP installation in the Apache or PHP settings.  Does anyone know what setting would cause this error?  What should I change?

It works on your live web host. Cool.
May be you should try xampp instead of wamp on your Windows laptop ? (I'm sorry I don't know Windows hosting better)
