[SOLVED] problems when installing modules

Its a little weird. I have been reading the help and the wiki, and been searching the forum, but maybe Im just blind...
Whenever I install a module it asks me eg:
--Add Me - module:Calendar string:cal_help--
This is the calendar module. Shall I add it somewhere, and where? Sorry, but I dont get it.
Also the automatic module installer dosnt work. But that problem is related to safemode right?

my memory limit is 8 megs. Safemode ON.

Nope, the automatic module installing stuff will not work in safe_mode

and it soulds like you didn't ftp all of the files up.  that's why you're getting lang errors.

Thanks about the info about the automatic module stuff.

About ftp problems I install with the "install module via XML file". Is there any other way, when I only have the xml file?

ah, there's your problem don't use the XML stuff at all when safe mode is on.

instead download the appropriate .zip or .tar.gz from the forge (dev.cmsmadesimple.org) expand it locally and manually ftp it up to your server.
