impact media

Post by lennon »

Hi,

Here's our latest incarnation: http://www.impactmedia.ie WE think its  big improvement

We've used 1.2.2 with the news module with some javascript and thats about it I think.

We're planning to develop the flash on the home page - I know it should be a jpeg at the moment but its coming soon.

You should upgrade to the latest release 1.2.3 as soon as possible.  There was a security vulnerability fixed.

EDIT: BTW, nice looking site.  Very clean.  I like it.

Cheers guys and thanks very much for the heads up about the upgrade.

Oh yeah I forgot about the menu- we  modified the menu structure a bit, which allows us to assign selected pages to either the 'Featured' or 'More Work' menus (in the portfolio sections). This involved simply adding a check box to the 'add page' page in admin which assigns that page to one of those 2 categories (and adding a field in the db to store this checkbox value). We also adding an extra smarty tag so that in the menu template we check this value (the check box value) to determine which menu list to assign the page to.

we also added a summary image field to the news module, which is simply to display the image in the rotating news pieces on the homepage.

thanks again

Andy
