Upload and EMail File

Post by Samval »

Hi All,

I am new to CMSMS, I need to do the following and need some help to achieve the same.

I am wanting to create an enquiry page and have ability for user to upload their resume before submitting the enquiry.

I am wanting to know how we can achieve that using CMS.

Any help would be appreciated.

Visit the Forge here and look for the Uploads module as well as the Form Builder module, Uploads will let you have your user upload files and FB will let you create a contact form so they can email you.

Are you and ankitm the same person? I just answered the same thing in a different thread  ;D

I am assuming you already have CMS made simple installed in your server. You have a couple of ways to install these modules. The first one is the easy one:
1. Go to Extensions > Module Manager > Click on letter U
2. You will see Uploads listed somewhere in that list, click on the link that says Download & Install
3. Now when you go to your admin menu, hover on Content and you'll see Front End File Management

Method 2 (actually this is very easy as well)
1. Download the .xml file from the link I gave you
2. Go to Extensions > Modules
3. Scroll down and you can Browse for the file you just downloaded
4. Click install.

That's it, this is the same install method for Any module. If you need further assistance go to Extensions > Modules  and next to each module's name you should see a Help link.

Many Thanks for a very easy explanation.

Would you have any documents on how to use and implement  this module by any chance?

As I mentioned you can go to Extensions > Modules  and next to each module's name you should see a Help link. I am no expert with any of them but I know they can do what you need  ;)
