[SOLVED] Using CMSMS in two different directories on one site

Post by WebbyMom »

I have a site where CMSMS 1.2.2 is currently installed. I have a sub-directory where I will have a second domain point to, and want to run CMSMS over there as well.

Thinking I was smart, I copied all the files to the sub-directory, which, of course works, but then I remembered that now the two directories are both using the same database, which I don't actually want.  I want it to look and act like separate sites completely.

My question is, then, do I need to make a new database for use for the other of the directories and then run the installer in that directory again and make the new DB and connect with it?  Will that work?

Yes, or you can use the same database, and just specify a different table prefix when you run the installer.
