How to modify existing files in the upload module in a simple way

How to modify existing files in the upload module in a simple way

Hi,
In my CMSms, I use TinyMCE Wysiwyg module basic (version 2.2). When I want to make a link on an existing file, I click on the appropriate icon and I can see all the files. If I want to modify the file I want to upload, I should open it and save it on my desk, do the modification and upload it again in the CMSms.
Do you know something easier than that ?
Should I upload a new module ?

If the file, that you want to edit, is an image, than you could use an Image manager.
