[SOLVED] 500 Internal Server Error

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

[SOLVED] 500 Internal Server Error

Post by sweaverit »

I've installed CMSMS via FTP, and have set the correct permissions.  I've edited the .htaccess file to include the SecFilterEngine Off line.

I still keep receiving the 500 Internal Server Error when trying to access index.php, and /install/index.php.

Is there a known issue that causes this?  Is it fixable? Help? If it's an issue with my host, what should I say the issue is?

Thanks in advance.

Is there anything in the error log?  (that's what the 500 screen on that server says to check)

Hello,

But aren't they required for any basic webmastering ? See "questions to your hosting company".

Talk to your host.  Even the error messages on the site says: The script had an error or it did not produce any output. If there was an error, you should be able to see it in the error log.  So obviously one exists.  We can't debug anything without an error.

No, I haven't.  I am so unimpressed with this hosting company!  >:( I know the problem is with something on the server.  I've checked the requirements and the server meets them.  I'll keep trying. And arguing with support.

I contacted my host.  Not everything in my hosting account was setup correctly.  :-\
