CMSMS 2.0 (say what now?!)
Re: CMSMS 2.0 (say what now?!)
You found sources here
http://svn.cmsmadesimple.org/svn/cmsmad ... nches/2.0/
You can upload it via svn
http://dev.cmsmadesimple.org/docman/vie ... isesvn.htm
Think its currently only alpha status.

Re: CMSMS 2.0 (say what now?!)
Hey all,
how is 2.0 going?
Have you made decisions regarding the Permissions?
I think that is the one area that REALLY needs to be updated, for end-users:
for instance,
let us say that you have News:
now, you have a client where they have 8 people who need to add news items
but, they are outputting to 8 seperate calendars
right now the only way is to manually modify 8 versions of calendar... big pain in the butt & not good.
You need to have it setup so that you can setup a category for each user, that is the only category they have access to
so what I imagine is a check for permissions:
Calendar
Per Category
List of categories
Does that make sense?
it sounds simple in one way: but it may not be. I have been trying to do it myself but have such limited time, and my understanding of CMSMS is not where I'd like it to be...

Streever..... You're just not gonna let this one go are you..... you're hanging on like a dog with a bone eh
Anyways, Calendar isn't a core module
News is though. and yeah, we have to think of some API thingy whereby we can easily provide atomic permissions to modules too.

Re: CMSMS 2.0 (say what now?!)
LOL it's true
I guess if I could just see a skeleton of it, done for news
so like, whenever you create a category, the permissions page pulls it into the list:
"Permissions
x
y
z
Calendar x
Calendar y
Calendar Categories
category 1
category 2
so you can check off categories for individual users
!!!!!!
if the Permissions page itself was just able to pull that info in, I would be able to write the modification to Calendars
!!!!

Re: CMSMS 2.0 (say what now?!)
When looking into the report from the Copehagen meeting, I found this roadmap for CMSMS 2.0:
Roadmap for 2.0 is
early-Dec: pre-beta
Dec 20: 2.0 beta1
Jan 15: Final beta
Feb 5: RELEASE!!!
As it is now early December, can we have an update on the status of this work? (I am really looking forward to the 2.0 version ..., but I know that projects like this seldom are ahead of schedule ...)

Re: CMSMS 2.0 (say what now?!)
Unfortunately, I became incredibly busy for most of October and 2.0 sat. Luckily, things are slowing down now and I'm slowly picking back up. Plus, I've had a lot of help in the last couple of weeks getting the admin them redone and pages recoded to smarty.
We have scaled down the list of features in order to get things done in a timely fashion, but I still don't expect to even have a beta until probably February. Some folks on IRC have started playing with it a bit, but there's still a ton of work to be done before it's even worth testing to any real depth. It's far enough along now that it's past being just "vaporware" and is starting to look like something.

Have SVN version a working schema? Ask Say (my poor language!) me if I can help you.

Yup, multilingual content is working in the svn trunk, if you want to check it out.

@nuno: do you actually read threads? The answer to that question was given 4 or 5 posts ago:
