404 when page edited

I'm running an install of 1.2 for testing and training but I love CMSMS and plan to adopt it for several community groups.

I'm having a problem at present. When a user edits an existing page I get a 404 error page not found.

If Admin edits a page this does not happen

any ideas?

had the same problem -> it was fixed when I upgraded CMSMS to 1.2.2.

I upgraded to 1.2.2  (I think I did - downloaded the diff and uploaded the files)

however it has not fixed the prob

when a user edits a page it goes 4004

Hello,

may be the page deactivation bug in 1.2 (which is fixed in 1.2.2 as OliLite has said).
either search the forum on this deactivated page thing
or try to reinstall the full 1.2.2 (rerun the wizard) without creating the database objects to keep your existing content.

If it doesn't solve the problem, please provide more information (search for "usual questions" in my posts).

I'm not entirely sure what to do here.

I DL'd the 1.2.2 diff files and uploaded them.

when you say (rerun the wizard) what do you mean? go throught the install process? BUT I've deleted the install folder as directed

sorry, I've not had a chance to re-install yet but I've discovered a little more about the problem

When a user edits a page the "show page in menu" and the "page active" tick boxes become unticked and they are not there to be ticked again. This includes pages that the user originated. Only the admin can re-tick those boxes thus reactivating the pages
