[SOLVED] -- website goes blank

i have successfully installed cmsmadesimple. it said "you have successfully installed blah blah blah..."

and then when i clicked on the "view website now"  it opened a blank window which contained

three horizontal lines, then Navigation, then News, then another horizontal line at the bottom. that's it.

i cant figure out what's wrong...

please help me

dumb me, i changed something during the installation.
tried installing everything without further customizing, it worked!
