SOLVED-Attempt at Pretty URL's failed badly, now just a white screen everywhere

I sure hope someone can help me. I worked very hard on a lovely company site and then messed it up and can't see a thing anywhere now.

I attempted to change to pretty URL's, uploaded the default .htaccess file (that came with the 'doc' folder in v. 1.2), changed the two values in config.php to 'true' and '.html' - and now I can't see anything. So I deleted the .htaccess file, changed the settings back in config.php, and I still can't see anything. Can't see the admin login page, can't see the main site. Just a blank white screen.

Please tell me I haven't lost it all. Never mind - tell me if I've lost it all, but if there's a way I can get it back or not.

Oh, never mind after all. I re-installed without creating tables, and it's all working just fine again.  Doing a happy dance and breathing a sigh of relief.
