All of these are good points. And I try hard to get all this straight. I'm not a developer...but I do hack scripting once in a while and due to the patience of folks like you guys, I learn.

I will try this...I just want to thank you in advance for all my newbie questions I will probably ask going forward. I think you can probably tell from my postings, that I try hard to figure it out on my own before asking for help...and when I do, I try to ask intelligent questions.

But I'm not a developer and never even heard of smarty before I started using CMSMS. I'm a technical writer and as such have some familiarity with basic programming syntax.

But having said that, I'm really glad for all your help and hope you won't lose patience with the newbies on the board like me.   ;D

Hi Folks,

I have implemented the changes in my templates and it worked like a charm. Thanks so much everyone especially Calguy who mentioned adding the logic to templates. I did as you suggested and searched the forum for info on smarty and templates and came up with several useful examples I would not of thought of searching for if it had not been for your suggestion.

I'm psyched.
