News module: Question about details page

I am using the news module and i would like to know if it is possible to make the details page optional. I mean, i would like to be able to write only on the summery field in some articles without having to write details about a specific article and now to show the "more" link. Is that possible?

Try it the other way around - leave the summary blank and put all your text in the "Content" field.

Or am I misunderstanding your question?

Now it's possible to turn off the summary form in News options, so that it's not confusing.
But now I think about it, it would be more convenient to have it collapsed with Javascript for the most of the time, and activate it with mouse click. Something like "Additional Options..." here on the forum, when posting a post.
Will add as a feature request. Just checked the Forge. Something like that has been requested.
