Cannot ftp load into wireframe1colwnews

hello,

i am trying to change my 1collayout.js in wireframe1colwnews. i can download 1collayout.js and make the changes i want but when i need to ftp them up again it tells me that is not permitted.

i have chmod all the files i needed to in the installation.

Also i tried uploading the file using file manager. it loaded up ok but the changes i made to the file did not appear on the website.i did another site with this template and no problems. anyone else have this kind of problem

i think i am running on a unix system. was reading past thread and they said that might the problem but there was no solution.

I also tried changing the unmasking to 000 and tested it. this is the error i got

No permission to write in directory. This could be caused by file permissions and ownership. Safe mode may also be in effect

i also tried changing the permissions on the 1collayout.js file using the file manager on the server and it gave me an error of

/martinnaughton.com/uploads/wireframe1colwnews/1collayout.js - Unable to change permission, file has different UID (100)


does anyone else have this problem
