I'd suggest taking a look at pair.com

They have excellent support, an active support forum and a variety of plans including dedicated servers if you need that level of control/performance. As for me, I have the Webmaster account which gives me lots of space to host my client accounts (currently I have 18 domains hosted in my account) The Webmaster Account is $29.95 and includes the following...
- 200GB/month transfer
- 3000MB disk space
- 20 MySQL databases
- 2000 mailboxes
- 20 additional FTP logins
- Access by SSH and FTP

I've also have two accounts with 1and1 but I have not been pleased with it. The servers are very very sluggish, especially when working with CMSMS. Often times I will have to wait 15-20 seconds after making a change in admin for anything to happen from the server. Ridiculously slow.

And I've had an account with hostrocket.com, which is cheap and not worth even cheap. It got hacked more times than I could count and suport is abysmal.

Hi guys,

Since 2002 I have been using ICDSoft. They do not offer super big webspace, but there support and service is one of the best in the market (see webhostingtalk discussions).

What I like is their self-made and simple Control Panel, as well as self-made webmail.
They offer 1GB for $6/month, but from the 2nd year I think they give 20% discount. Plus, if you will have more than 1 account, you will get even better discounts. I have 12 accounts, and every package costs only $3/month.
1 Gb is not much, but the quality is service makes me to love them!

Once I thought I will try lunarpages super cheap and super big space offer, so I bought 2 year package. Now, after 5 months, account with them stays unused. Why? Their support was hardly responding in 3-5 hours, plus there responses most of the time did not properly answered my questions. Moreover, I noticed that website on there servers were loading too slow (comparing to ICDSoft), so finally I bought another account with icdsoft.

After not happy exprience with lunarpages I do not believe anymore in 300gb web hosting accounts for $7-$9/month

Additionaly, I am attaching the screenshot from my icdsoft support tickets. the middle column is the response time to the different tickets. As you see it varies from 1 minute to max 1h.
In comparison, lunarpages resonse times were: 8.5h, 10h, 5h30min, 6h, 2h30min, 2h15min, 23min, 10h

I hope these numbers will let you feel the difference.
