Moving CMSMS from a sub dir to the main dir

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

Moving CMSMS from a sub dir to the main dir

Post by Klassiekerrally »

For testing purposes I installed CMSMS in a sub directory of my website called 'cmsmadesimple'.
As I very much liked how things worked, I decided to move the site to the main directory of my website, so it would be visible.
How wrong could I be...
Now only a white screen is visible. Same goes for the admin section.
I already modified the config.php, but that didn't help.

What did I do wrong?

Function Performed: CONNECT
Host/DB: 192.168.202.232/cms_klassiekerrally
Database Type: mysql

I'll be doing the same thing shortly.

Besides moving all the files from the sub-dir to the main, do you need to do anything to the database or any other files other than just modifying the paths in your config.php file?

Thanks!

[solved] Moving CMSMS from a sub dir to the main dir

Post by Klassiekerrally »

Database connection error has disappeared by itself (so it seems).

Also the transfer of the website was succesful after re-installing CMSMS.
I didn't change the database and most things work like before.
Some things don't work, also just like before  ;)
Still having troubles with the Photo album...
But that's an other subject.

Thanks for having a look!

@AA

Most times just the config as you are still pointing at the same DB...
