user access permissions

Hi,

Another problem I am having is to do with page access.  I have given access to a user to several different pages.  Usually when I give them access to a parent page, they always have access to its children also.  However, for no logical reason that I can see,  in one arbitrary section the user only has access to the parent page and not to its children.

Any experienced this before?
