[SOLVED] Question about different operating systems?

Hi there,

I would like to start using CMSMS but would just like some clarification about the server operating system requirements......  Are there any?

I am planning, initially, to run a local web server on my MAC (Mac OSX 10.4.10) while I learn and develop my first web site. 


You can probably tell that I'm a bit of a newbie

mac is really just linux with an expensive gui, so it will probably already have apache. all you need after that is php and a dbms like mysql.

I am going with the apache/php that comes with MacOS with mySQL.  Almost up and running.....

Then I'll probably start posting many newbie questions!
