Why would this tar file be missing key components ?
cmsmadesimple-1.1.4.1.tar.gz
the entire tmp/templates and temp/cache directory is missing -

those directories are in the .tar.gz file purely for convenience, and its intended that they be empty.

Some file archiving utilities may not extract and create empty directories contained within an archive (these ones are used during CMSMS operation for temporary files); and others may have a fit with 0 byte files. WinRAR, I know, does NOT have this problem and extracts the tar.gz file just fine.jcolome wrote: Why would this tar file be missing key components ?

If you're using Windows, you should probably download a regular ZIP whenever you're given a choice.
