Search Module Customization

Hi guys. I've read the posts on how to change the search button into an image but they don't work anymore; It was written about a year ago. I'm using CMS Made Simple version 1.2. Does anybody know a way to convert the search button in that version? Also, I'd like to delete the word "search:" from the left-hand side of the input box. Thank you in advance.

Go to extensions > search and modify the template...

Put a class in the button section to use for CSS styling, remove the first line {searchtext} ...

Thanks for the help. That takes care of the extra text. I still haven't figured out how to change the button into an image though =(.
