upgrading from 1.0.8 [solved]

bonjour,

i was wondering what would be the best for upgrading from 1.0.8 kona ?  on the page http://dev.cmsmadesimple.org/frs/?group_id=6 there are diffs for many things but not from 1.0.8.

could i just install 1.2 and keep my database as is ?  any ideas welcome..

None of the upgrades touch the items in the DB just upgrade the schema, you may want to go to 1.1 then 1.2...

I bravely went directly to 1.2 (after backuping of course) and all went well, i brutally poured the 1.2 contents into my 1.0.8 recipient, shook it up a bit (chown a bit here and there) and voilà, seems to work alright.
