Can whomever is responsible for the Calendar consider images to go along with the Catergories, If the images could then be displayed with the summary this would be of great benefit and really liven up the Calendar.
Thank you

Re: Calendar Request
I modified the template for the big calendar to insert the details, where the title would normally go and this allows images to be posted onto the calendar.
What I think would really be useful is to make the calendar work more like the news module or integrate them. For my requirements I want forthcoming events to be available on a side bar just like news. The calendar can then be used to easily browes up and coming events throughout the year.
If the summary / title on the calendar could be expanded to be a textarea box like the news summary then this would be sufficient to post images and a short description, the details would then form the main bulk of the content.

Re: Calendar Request
Can't you do this just by setting the calendar display to "upcominglist" and then placing it in the sidebar on your template? Or am I not quite understanding you?For my requirements I want forthcoming events to be available on a side bar just like news.
Re: Calendar Request
The people I'm doing the site for want a big calendar so visitors can easily browse the entire year, but want it to look jazzy, at the moment it looks a bit dull.
Also, the upcoming doesn't provide a facility for a summary like the news where you can put images into it.

Re: Calendar Request
Yeah , I'm thinking of that too....Sy wrote: Can whomever is responsible for the Calendar consider images to go along with the Catergories, If the images could then be displayed with the summary this would be of great benefit and really liven up the Calendar.
Thank you
Category Images e.g. an icon style image per event category e.g. a stylistic horse or car or football so that when
an event of that type takes place on that day then that icon would be added to the calendar display. At a glance
you can see the list of events through the images. You can also imagine images for moon phases, holidays etc.
Plus event icons so you can add a custom image for 1-off events e.g. sponsor logos which can be used to override
the default category icon image for that event category.
Slowly I'm doing some code but have no idea how this clashes with CMSMS 2.0 changes.

Re: Calendar Request
You should post this as a feature request in the Calendar module page:
