vers. 1.2 problems with Editor modules

Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

vers. 1.2 problems with Editor modules

Post by boonier »

Hi,

The new version seems to have problems installing and displaying all the wysiwyg editors. On clicking install in the module manager - FCKeditorX goes to a blank page and it doesn't add anything to the extensions menu. Xinha does the same. TinyMCE advanced throws an error, though that is something to with php memory limits on my server. TinyMCE is already installed but the GUI doesn't appear.

I've done a fresh re-install and I'm pretty sure that I've set the right permissions for all the folders..

Other users seem to be haveing the same problem, but there doesn't seem to be a definitive solution to this

any help would be much appreciated, thanks

Hmm, ok - I have seen it work fine on a Mac & Firefox? Not sure about the exact version though. I know Safari can't show the editor. Can you upgrade Firefox at all? I am a PC guy so I am not sure if they are on different versions.

Have you seen it work in any other installs or is this the first install?

Hi

It worked fine on previous installs. Only in 1.2 has it disappeared. Firebug shows a javascript error (see image). Its in the javascript function call to show the gui. There is an 'undefined' argument in the function call..
