Older Smarty code?

I think this must have been asked before, but couldn't find it.
I have a custom made website with Smarty templates, it is basic web catalog stuff, displaying product info from a database, and it is working fine. I want to put it in a cms, and since CMS Made Simple is based on smarty too, I was wondering if I could somehow integrade my Smarty/PHP code into CMSMS? Right now the website is up and running with correct looks and everything, but I need somehow to figure out how to get my PHP/Smarty code to work.
Somebody must have done this.

its probably pretty easy to create module from your code..

take a look at some of the existing modules..
