additional editor problems

Post by jmcgin51 »

Good morning, all,

I have a site with three users (Admin, User1, User2).  All pages are owned by the Admin, who is only a member of the Admin group.  User1 and User2 are both members of Group1 (only), which has zero permissions.

If I try to set User1 and User2 as additional editors for any page, and click "Apply", only the User1 assignment "sticks".  (Both editors stay highlighted after I click "Apply", but if I navigate away from the page and come back to the page, only User1 is highlighted.)  If I select ONLY User2 as an additional editor, and click "Apply", it works as expected.  IF I click "Submit" instead of "Apply", the system remembers both editors.  This appears to be a bug with using the "Apply" button versus "Submit".

Running CMSMS 1.1.4.1, PHP 4.3.9, MySQL 4.1.

Any comments?  Can anyone else reproduce this issue?  Is it a known issue?

Thanks very much!

No it's not a known issue, but this has been revisited in 1.2, and now you can select one or more 'groups' as additional editors.  So that may be a bit easier (and more logical) for you.

Thanks, Calguy.  I'm holding off on 1.2 for a bit, but I'm looking forward to some of the new features...
