I have made a bunch of sites with various iterations of Mambo and Joomla, and have to massage the structure of the sites to fit Joomla's way of working. Lately I'm being asked to make really small sites, that people want to maintain themselves and Joomla just seems like overkill. So I went hunting and found this - I was a little concerned with a couple of posts saying it was tricky etc....
I just installed this in about 15 minutes, most of that FTP time. You do need some familiarity with mySQL and PHP My Admin but really only very basic stuff - the installer does the rest. As I said - I don't believe it was so simple! Fantastic! I've set this up as a test site to play, and am really looking forward to exploring it all. So far so good, thanks to the coders for making it a breeze!
