Increasingly it seems to me that often creating solutions is just about stitching together existing packages as seamlessly as possible.

CMSMS makes managing website content v. easy.  We integrate website content and email newsletter content for some of our clients in the following way.

1/. Set up website with news channels as per normal.
2/. create a new page template that delivers HTML suitable for an email newsletter and email browsers.
3/. In the newsletter template add articles from news channels automatically using usual {news} tag
4/. Register our client as a client of www.campaignmonitor.com
5/. The client uses CMSMS tools to build newsletter just like a normal web page
6/. The client feeds url of new page to campaignmonitor application
7/. The client sends out their own e-newsletter
8/. The client gets easy to author newsletter with automatic integration of content from website and links from newsletter back to website articles (trackable by email application statistics) at very low cost. Properly formatted emails, automatic opt-in and opt-out, plus full statistics on how recipients respond to email.
