How to exclude News categories from search?

is it possible to exclude one ore more news categories from search?

I believe if you go to the search admin page you have a list of exceptions you may be able to add it to this...

Thanks for your help, but actually i use the pisearch module with a modified sql query and a additional table culumn in news module.

Thats a quick and dirty solution, but It works fine
