News problem

Hi! I am using CMSMS 1.1.2 with News 2.5 (Same problem with News 2.3.0.1)

Symptom: News are not displayed in FrontEnd and not displayed in BackEnd.

When I create a new article, CMSMS says: "The article was successfully added."
but it wont appear in the list. Though, records are created in the module_news_ tables.

Is it a rights problem, on the server?

It works fine with the same configuration on my laptop with xamp.

PS: the article is published and my user is admin and has all the chekboxes ticked...

I made a comparison between the online server and my laptop : the module_news table are exactly the same....

it was effectively a problem with the database: I upgraded mysql from 3.23 to 5 and it solved my news problem...
I could have it solved with a hack for the length of the query as you mentioned it, but I'm happy I've done this
migration... ho knows what would have been my next problem/incompatibility with mysql 3.23
