Greetings.
I'm installing CMSMS 1.1.2 on a (sadly) GoDaddy hosted server. PHP ver. unknown, MySQL 5.0.
I upload the whole package to the FTP with no errors or issues.
when i go to the associated website (http://www.icarusmediadesign.com) i get none of the usual installation business.
Instead it navigates me to [http://www.icarusmediadesign.com/install/index.php?sessiontest=1&]
and leaves me with a white screen.
No chance to set up database access, no chance to verify any initial configuration issues.
Suggestions?
Stuck Prior to Installation Process
Re: Stuck Prior to Installation Process
Hello,
if you have read and followed tests and instructions to the letter, my only advice is to call the hosting provider support.
Of course, before, you can try another browser and/or computer.

Re: Stuck Prior to Installation Process
All excellent suggestions.
I have tried the installation on Mac OSX 10.4.10, using Safari, Firefox, and Opera.
Also tried from the PC (XP Pro) using IE 6, then IE 7, Firefox, Opera, and Kameleon.
I have (to the best of my knowledge, of course) followed all instructions to the tee.
The issue may be tied to another I ran across last night: i can't CHMOD files from the FTP. I think it's a hosting issue. I'll have to deal with them.
Thanks for the help.

Paul,
did you transfer all files correctly, I mean do you have FTP in smart-mode, transferring ascii files ascii and binary files binary. You did unzip the files and then transfer all content to the root?
