[solved] ALBUM Module 0.9.2, thumbnails are not found, admin and front-side

Post by adanker »

I have been having this trouble with the album 0.9.2 module for sometime, pretty much ever since I have uploaded to godaddy's linux server.  Before that I was running XAMPP and everything worked great on my local server.  Hear is what is happening:
1. I FTP upload images to a sub-directory under the /uploads/ directory on the server.
2. Use Image manager to generate a pile of thumb_ thumbnail files.
3. I generate a new "album" from the Album module interface and give it a name.
4. I choose a single thumbnail for use to represent the gallery. Everything is fine and the thubnail shows up fine.
5. Now as soon as I Choose Images for the album, my thumbnails get replaced by a no image found white box. and a bunch of errors for each and every image in the directory.

6. The larger images show up on the front-side after a user clicks on them, but never any photo thumbnails either front-side or back-end.

Anyone have any suggestions or things that I may want to try, should I just chalk it up to the host and maybe give another image gallery a try?

check your config.php for these variables
'image_upload_path' and
'image_upload_url'

Sweet!
I cannot believe that it is always the simplest thing that is overlooked.
That did the trick by changing the URL and absolute paths in the config file.

thanks!
