Adding a Log in form in my site

Hi all,
I have followed the tutorial "custom content module for newbies (my way)" but there is no indication on how to add a log in form to my pages' layout after you have set up the necessary modules.
My goal is to create different groups of users which can only see some pages of the site. Any indication is welcome, i am still researching how to do it.

Check the Forum for "FrontEnd Users" also known as FEU in combination with Custom Content "CC".

I get to register and receive the activation request via email, but the links provided in the email point me to an apparently empty page of my site, I can't tell whether the activation worked or not, and my username and password don't work when trying to log in....
