Am trying to install CMS to my college server running Cent OS i have previously installed to my hosting domain at awardspace.com without any problem
The problem is after step 3 i.e after entering my mysql info and on clicking continue the page freezes to a blank page under URL
cms1/install/index.php
But on viewing the database the tables are created
and again the install page comes up when entered http://san.com/cms1/
also theres a Yellow warning in the Step 1 as
Checking PHP memory limit (min 8M, recommend 16M) You Have 8M
You may not have enough memory to run CMSMS correctly, or with all of your desired addons. If possible, you should try to get your system admin to raise this value. Proceed with caution.
Please do let me know what is the problem am running Dans Guardian at my server and Squid User management

Did you create an empty config.php file with 777 permissions?

Hey Team,
I am having this same issue, http logs list no errors. I have set the permissions as well as cleaned out the config.php file.
All my install requirements have been met.
Could it be that I am not doing a clean install? by this I mean:
1. I have copied all the files from a functioning site
2. I have a clean DB
3. then I overwrote my original files with a clean build then executed the install.
4. then it freezes, as described above.
Any thoughts?
Thank you for your time,
Todd

Hello Todd,
Cent OS ? hosting domain at awardspace ? Same 8M warning ? Dans Guardian ? Squid ?
Or do you mean same "error screen" : "The problem is after step 3 i.e after entering my mysql info and on clicking continue the page freezes to a blank page under URL cms1/install/index.php
But on viewing the database the tables are created" ?
Yes, your are "not doing a clean install". I don't understand if you want to install or to move to a new server. So new install or server move ?
BTW, which version of CMSms is it ?
All "install requirements have been met", but have you seen a warning ?
Is there something usefull in the "view source" of the "blank page" ?
Any other context information is welcome, as usual.
