Do you guys know a good app to stream video content. I would use Windows Media Server, but I'm on a linux server.

I saw that there were a few apps for youtube, but they are of no use - nor are flash video apps.

you can try WapcamServer, which does RTSP/RTP streaming (and soon MJPEG for the webcam).
It is supposed to work on Linux as well as Win (Java inside), but you will most probably need 3rd-parties codecs (such as Fobs4jmf -free, IBM's mpeg4 - not free, ...).
Although the engine is working pretty good, it might not work so well according to your files format.
It is not as professional as flash can be, but I'm open to suggestions to improve it.
The best is to try it and see if it fits your need.
