NMS Issue

Post by lernet »

Hi, I have problems getting my NMS to work properly. Each time I send my newsletter to the subscribers, the job sort of hangs and it either goes into error or "in progress" mode forever. But from the feedback I get, not all the subscribers are getting the newsletter. So if I were to try it again, the same problem occurs. Then some will end up with two copies of the newsletter.

Is there a limit to the number of subscribers or number of users for each list? Or is it something I've done wrong with the process? Each time this occurs, I have to go into my php admin and empty the temp job status to get it start again. And the cycle goes on each time I publish the newsletter. Please advise me on the possible ways to solve this issue. Thanks.

I would like to give this another bump.

Have tried to send an email to 367 people. I've tried several batch sizes and delays between messages and batches. But it hangs when it reaches the batch that sends out message # 200. This means several people got this message twice, while others didn't get it. However, I can't see who got it, because it doesn't seem to handle the messages in ascending userid order or something. The job status gets set to error, after which I can reset the status and try again. However, it then tries to send the whole job again, to all 367 users...

It doesn't send an admin email about the job, or specifies the error. So I have no clue what could be going wrong.

Does this have something to do with a server timeout or so? Or is it a timeout setting in one of the used modules? I can't run anymore tests with this much addresses, because it is a business mail. It looks pretty unproffessional to send all my colleagues business contacts several emails.

I'm using CMSMS 1.2.2, NMS 1.0.2 with CMSMailer 1.73.11 (included in CMSMS)
