Hi!
How to add content for multiple languages? And what is the language URL then for a frontend (&lang=en by example)...
As I understand this CMS supports multiple languages (props setting in MySQL table for content - "content_en" made me think of that).
How to set this all up running? Searched through the documentation, but didn't find any clue.

Re: Content in multiple languages
There exists a project MLE (MultiLangEdition)
http://dev.cmsmadesimple.org/projects/multilang/
It based on CMSms 1.0.2.
Currently Alby creates a new version based on 1.1.1. Please look here

Wich one is better? I suppose better to use the Alby version?
I am thinking about future updates to my existing site.
P.S. And what about v2.x?
... is there some news, WHEN?

Re: Content in multiple languages
Not sure if support for inofficial MLE will go on.
If you look for updates you shouldn't use the MLE. Try to use current (and official) CMSMS version. There are some similar solutions on forum.
CMSMS 2.0: There's a lot to talk about on DevCon in September. Think you have to wait to the end of the year.

Then is it safe to stick to Alby version? Do the future updates work?

Re: Content in multiple languages
Hello,
even Alby writes he doesn't support his hack because of a lack of time.
So with 1.x, you can divide languages with content hierarchy and select one language/branch in the menu with the start_element option of the {menu} tag (see the {menu} tag help, search the forum for this).
Or you have to wait for 2.0 to have a true multilingual CMS.

Re: Content in multiple languages
O.K., I will look for {menu} tag parameters help then.
This is a great CMS - easy to manage and just what is needed for a simple homepage with subcategories and stuff. Only thing it is lacking is multilanguage feature yet. Hope to see version 2.x soon!
