Help with getting the CMS CORE package up and running. This does not include 3rd party modules, PHP scripts, anything downloaded via module manager or from any external source.

[Solved] Could not connect to the database. Verify that username and...

Post by leet8845 »

Hi there,

I have installed CMS made simple version 1.1.1 to my windows server with a HELM control Panel. I have setup my database with MySQL 4 and added a user. Access online to my database is at http://phpmyadmin.ourhelmcp.com.

I was unable to call my database cms as this was taken, so I called it cms2.

I get access to the install page mydomain.com/install/index.php and pass all the tests for step 1 OK.

On step 2 should I be entering 'localhost' or 'mysql.ourhelmcp.com' for the 'Database host address' field?

What should I be entering for Table prefix?

When I try to continue from stage 2 I get the following error message 'Could not connect to the database. Verify that username and password are correct, and that the user has access to the given database.'

Any ideas to as where im going wrong?

Thanks for reading. :)
